MIDWEST FILMMAKERS COMMUNITY BREAKS 100 BARRIER| FEBRUARY 21, 2010

This past week, Midwest Filmmakers --an online community initiated by PTS' own Harry Locke IV on vimeo.com --has crossed the 100 member barrier, and over 440 videos currently uploaded. The group was initiated last year in an effort to unify filmmakers and other video production talent from the Midwest on Vimeo, a video-centric social networking site akin to that of Youtube.

If you've got videos to add, a vimeo account, and hail from the Midwest, we'd love to see you upload your content! You can click the image above to go directly to the group's page. Accounts are free to make on Vimeo.

In other PTS news, with things quieting down in the wake of the successful release of I'M STILL HERE, we would like to turn your attention to our personal blogs!

By clicking the respective pictures under the blogs section, you will be zapped to PTS' personal blogs. Feel free to read up on the personal world of PTS' founders, and get further insight on the development of old and new projects, our film favorites, and struggles to grasp the Chinese language. We also encourage readers to subscribe if you have an account that allows so.

More updates coming soon! With details on when you'll finally get to see
LOVE TAP, I'M STILL HERE film festival activity, new projects, and more!

Take care family, friends, and fans!

PTS JOINS IN ON HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS | JANUARY 15, 2010

In the wake of the devastating earthquake that has completely decimated Haiti, left almost 3 million individuals in need of life-saving aid, and induced a death toll that rises by the hour; we here at PTS feel obliged as artists, filmmakers, and caring residents of the global society to contribute in the massive international support groups rushing to the aid of the Haitian people.

As of today, PTS will donate 20% of profits received from each I'M STILL HERE DVD and web donations, to Red Cross's Haiti relief program and the Doctors Without Borders Haiti program.

We implore you to join in at least one of the numerous relief efforts that are working tirelessly around the clock, many without compensation, to bring some form of stability to a country that has witnessed a pain we could not even begin to fathom.

If you would prefer to send a "text" donation directly to Red Cross, please text "Haiti" to 90999. A $10 donation will pass thru Red Cross's relief program, and your cell phone carrier keeps nothing.

Thank you.

OFF AND RUNNING | JANUARY 08. 2010

Happy New Years PTS' Family, Friends, and Fans!

We here at Power Trio Studios hope that you all had a fantastic holiday season, and are off to a great start in what is sure to be not only an exciting year...but the start of a very promising decade for our generation as a global community!

In lieu of all the madness bound to ensue here at Power Trio Studios over the coming months, we would like to take a moment in this posting to lay out a road map of what has come to pass, and what has yet to transpire here at PTS.

1. I'M STILL HERE DVD: AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE PURCHASE/FILM FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

The wait has officially ended. Almost 100 copies of I'M STILL HERE have been distributed amongst eager viewers, who have been waiting throughout 2009 to finally get a taste of what a more experienced Power Trio Studios crew can do.

The home release DVD includes:

- I'M STILL HERE (The Full Cut): Presented in 16:9 widescreen, with a hearty run time of 2hr. 8min.

- FROM THE EYES OF THE CREATORS: A 20 minute plus interview with PTS founders Walter Banasiak, Daniel Grenchik, and Harry Locke IV on the trials and tribulations over the 2 year production of I'M STILL HERE.

- LOST SCENES: Harry Locke IV narrates 3 scenes that were extracted from the final cut of the film.

- HIGHLIGHTS FROM PRODUCTION: A quick blooper reel highlighting a few of the many outtakes that occurred during production.

- THEATRICAL TRAILERS: The very trailers that you have been watching as production crept along since 2009, now all conveniently placed on the home DVD.

With such overwhelming support from those who have viewed the final cut of the film, we now eagerly turn our attention to getting I'M STILL HERE as much film festival exposure as feasibly possible. Keep your eyes peeled on this main page, as we will be updating with film festival news as soon as entry acceptances and show times are known!

2. LOVE TAP: SCHEDULED TO FINALLY HIT THE WEB ON VALENTINE'S DAY...MAYBE.

Deadlines are often not our friends here at PTS. Both NOIR and ISH suffered numerous time delays before we were able to release the final cuts to the masses. Love Tap has sadly followed tradition, with an original launch date of October slipping into November...then December...and now into 2010. The reason for delay should come as no surprise however, as completion of the I'M STILL HERE DVD release took blatant precedence over LOVE TAP on the completion slate. With feature film number 2 now out and about, attention has returned to the comedy debut of PTS in a 30 minute film short.

A Valentine's Day upload date has been planned, but not promised. The film is currently being re-worked in post-production, and will go live for free viewing when the final cut is in tip-top shape.

3. N O I R: THE RE-RELEASE

PTS will offer those who missed out on our first feature film adventure a shot at redemption later this year with NOIR REDUX. The new DVD release will contain a slightly tighter in editing version of the original movie, the extras included from the Blackout Edition, and a few new featurettes for the price of $10.00 when it launches sometime later this year.

4. OPERATION: SOAPBOX

While I'M STILL HERE is in no threat of having its popularity diminished by the mystery and hype surrounding PTS feature film number 3, there is still an undeniable presence of great curiosity from many in the local community of what kind of product will erect from a screenplay penned by Danny Grenchik. Keep in mind that Operation: Soapbox, while catchy, is not the finalized name of the film. Expect more news on this one late in the year.

5. BLOGGIN' AND TWITTERIN'

If you've glanced at the right hand column of the main page, you probably will have noticed the addition of blogs that are run by PTS' founding members (well only 1 of them is active right now). But soon, you'll be able to get a little more personal with Harry, Walter, and Danny as they blog about life, world occurences, film, music, college, Chincese foreign language classes, etc., etc.

Also, you'll notice at the bottom, our Myspace icon has been replaced by a Twitter one. That's right! You can now follow us on twitter at:

http://twitter.com/PTStudioz

And that will do it for this update! Thanks again for all the support everyone, and be sure to check out a copy of the I'M STILL HERE DVD while we still have copies left!

Have a great one!

NEW I.S.H. TRAILER PROMOTES DVD UNVEILING | NOVEMBER 04, 2009

October came and passed with barely any news regarding the anticipated "I'M STILL HERE" DVD release, and for that, we here at PTS would like to take a moment to both update and apologize.

It's no secret that ISH has been plagued with production delays, complications, drop outs, and exhausting verbal battles since it's inception. So, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that the path to thome video and festival consideration has proven to be equally as treacherous. Much of the delay has stemmed in part with our permissions of use clause and creative copyrights, which insure that both the collaborated and original content within ISH is legally cleared. The other half stems from our collective need to insure that the released DVD surpasses expectations on every level. Since the premiere showing of the film back in August, the film has been completely re-mastered, with no stone left unturned:

- Completely re-vamped audio
- New Visual Style
- Addition of over 50 minutes of footage

Of course, those additions only pertain to the film itself, and don't even begin to reference the neat features planned to compliment the DVD. As possible to see from the newly released trailer, this is the most ambitious project done to date here at Power Trio Studios, and the home release will fully represent this. Those who managed to catch the film back in August will feel as if they are watching a whole new film, and first-time viewers are in for a treat, as we continue to push our shoestring budget filmmaking into a form of viable entertainment. It is crucial to us that we justify every dollar you send our way, because we care what you think, and you deserve our best. Unfortunately, in affition to filmmaking the three of us live the lives of full-time students, workers, and internship participants. The complicated time schedule has surmounted in an inevitable delay, with the release date now slipping to December.

The DVD will launch at $15.00, and in limited quantities. The indiviudals who have already paid for there copy by attending the premiere, have nothing to worry about. Your copy will be sent as soon as we are stocked from our distribution provider. We highly advise that all other interested parites, partake in our pre-ordering method, to better insure there will be enough copies available. We do intend to have a sellout on the initial batch.

For more info on the DVD, head to it's entry on the shop page here.
